About Us

Who We Are

At Diverse Little Colours, we are a passionate social enterprise dedicated to enhancing the well-being of the elderly, carers, and the wider community through innovative and inclusive activities. Our mission is to create a vibrant, supportive, and intergenerational community where everyone feels valued, heard, and empowered.

What We Do

We specialise in delivering chair yoga and well-being exercises tailored for the elderly in care homes and community centres. Our sessions are designed to promote physical health, mental well-being, and social connection. What makes our approach unique is the incorporation of diverse music, such as Bollywood beats and nostalgic 60s tunes, which adds a joyful and inclusive element to our activities.

In addition to our chair exercises, we organise intergenerational events that bring together the elderly, children, and young people. These events foster meaningful connections, allowing different generations to share experiences, learn from one another, and create lasting memories.

Our Impact

Over the years, our Feel Good, Stay Active project has become a resounding success. We are humbled by the overwhelming positive feedback from care home residents, their families, carers, community members, and local councillors. Many care homes have requested our return to run these workshops more regularly, and we are thrilled to expand our reach.

Recognising the vital role carers play in our community, we have also introduced well-being workshops specifically for carers. These sessions provide a safe space for carers to prioritise their mental and physical health, share their experiences, and build confidence. Whether through outdoor activities, music, or creative crafts, we aim to support carers in feeling valued, skilled, and part of a caring community.

Looking Ahead

This year, we are excited to broaden our impact by introducing outdoor well-being activities. These include gardening, recycling projects, and climate-conscious initiatives, all designed to promote holistic health and environmental awareness. These activities will take place in care home gardens, community centres, and even national heritage parks, offering participants the chance to connect with nature and each other.

We are also launching weekly Zoom calls and special events celebrating diverse cultural festivals such as Diwali and Christmas. These events will feature crafts, healthy food, music, and even recycled maracas, creating opportunities for learning, creativity, and celebration.

Our Team

Our success is driven by a team of trained and experienced instructors who are passionate about making a difference. With expertise in safeguarding, care, and well-being, our instructors bring years of experience and dedication to every session.

Our Supporters

We are grateful for the support of our funders, including the National Lottery and other organisations who share our vision. Their generosity enables us to continue our work and expand our reach.

Our Vision

At Diverse Little Colours, we believe in building a community where:

  • The elderly feel valued and connected.

  • Carers feel supported and empowered.

  • Intergenerational bonds are strengthened.

  • Everyone has a voice and a sense of belonging.

Together, we are creating a brighter, more inclusive future—one chair yoga session, one workshop, and one smile at a time. Join us on this journey!
